THIS SATURDAY 28th OCT:
Caerphilly Town, 11am – Campaign to Protect our Mountains & Countryside!
We will be in Caerphilly town centre to collect signatures on the CPRW (Campaign for Protection of Rural Wales) petition calling for a moratorium on large-scale renewable projects such as wind and solar farms that are destroying our countryside.
Whether you believe in wind farms or not, Wales already produces almost twice as much electricity as it uses, so increasing our production is not even of benefit to us in Wales, only for the profit of corporations who are not even from Wales (in other words “not in my back yard”).
As many are already aware, there is a huge wind farm with wind turbines higher than Blackpool Tower planned for Eglwysilan/Senghenydd Common, destroying an ancient archeological site of specific interest to the true history of Wales (including an ancient star map that is not yet officially recognised), so please join us in sharing awareness of this to the people of Caerphilly and encouraging the signing of this petition.
We will be meeting at 11am at the Tommy Cooper statue outside Twyn Community Centre and decide where to go from there.
In the event of any changes (due to adverse weather forecast or changes in meeting time), please follow our social media!
